For Rescue Organizations and Transport Partners
Fly Hawaii Cats works with approved rescue organizations and partners to help cats travel safely from Hawaii to the mainland. This program is built around planning, accountability, and shared responsibility.
We are not a public booking service. All transports follow the same standards to protect cats, volunteers, and long term airline relationships.
Who this program is for
Fly Hawaii Cats partners with organizations that are prepared to follow a consistent transport system.
• Hawaii based rescue organizations
• Mainland rescue partners and rescue cat cafés
• Approved individuals working through a partner rescue
We do not book flights directly for the general public or for individuals acting independently.
How the program works
Fly Hawaii Cats supports transport by coordinating volunteer flight angels and providing clear safety protocols. Partner organizations are responsible for cat readiness, placement, and follow through.
• Fly Hawaii Cats coordinates volunteer flights and guidance
• Rescue partners manage cats, adopters, and medical readiness
• All transports follow airline, TSA, and Fly Hawaii Cats standards
Required standards for all partners
Every organization participating in Fly Hawaii Cats must agree to and follow the same non negotiable standards.
• Health checks and medical clearance before travel
• Mesh bag system used during TSA screening
• No open carriers in public spaces
• Sedation only if veterinarian recommended
• Feeding and potty timing rules followed exactly
• No last minute changes without approval
These standards exist to protect cats, volunteers, airline relationships, and the future of the program.
Agreements and documentation
All participating organizations must complete required documentation before transport.
• Organization agreement
• Transport protocol acknowledgment
• Health certificate compliance
• Emergency and delay planning
• Confirmation that adopters or receiving partners are ready on arrival
Failure to follow protocols may result in removal from the program.
Why one system matters
Fly Hawaii Cats coordinates hundreds of flights every year. Even one mistake can put cats, volunteers, and future transports at risk.
Using one consistent system allows this program to operate safely, responsibly, and long term.
